Algonquin College
The Respiratory Therapy Ontario College Advanced Diploma program prepares you for success in the profession of respiratory therapy. With access to state-of-the-art equipment, simulation techniques and clinical placements, you gain the hands-on skills necessary for employment.
Learn to practice competently, safely and effectively in diverse practice settings.

Learn to evaluate, treat and manage the care of patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities. Respiratory therapists are an integral part of the health care team providing ventilation and airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygen therapy, and assisting with high-risk births and anesthesia in the operating room. Graduates enter this in-demand, lifesaving field and find employment in a variety of dynamic settings.

Conestoga College
This three-year program is designed to satisfy the educational requirements for registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist based on the National Competency Framework for Respiratory Therapy. The program is nationally accredited by Accreditation Canada. This fully-integrated program provides a diverse learning environment that utilizes classroom education, laboratory sessions, clinically immersive simulation, e-learning, and early clinical exposure with continuous role modeling of the profession.

Fanshawe College
Respiratory Therapy is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program where students learn cardiopulmonary anatomy, chemistry, theory, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and more. This program is taught in a brand new clinical lab by experts in the field. Graduates will be able to perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function, cardiac stress and sleep behaviour.

Fleming College
The demand for Respiratory Therapists will continue to grow as Ontario’s population increases and ages. This program will prepare you with knowledge, skills, and clinical judgement to deliver optimal cardio-respiratory care to diverse patients and clients in a range of practice settings including acute care and community environments. You will be part of the inter-professional healthcare team dedicated to cardio-respiratory health and well-being.

La Cité
Au cours des quatre premières étapes du programme, l’étudiant suivra des cours théoriques, participera à des séances de laboratoire et effectuera quelques stages cliniques. Les trois dernières étapes sont principalement consacrées aux stages cliniques. Cependant, l’étudiant aura également à suivre quelques cours en salle de classe ou en ligne. Ces cours contribuent à préparer l’étudiant à l’examen national d’autorisation du Conseil canadien des soins respiratoires.

Michener Institute
During the first two years of the Respiratory Therapy program, Michener students have full access to practice labs equipped with the most current and advanced respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring the lab and simulation activities mirror clinical realities. Michener’s intensive program covers all facets of entry-to-practice requirements ensuring graduates are job-ready.

St. Clair College
This program develops the student’s cognitive, effective and psychomotor skills as described in the goals and outcomes of the National Competency Framework for Respiratory Therapy in order to perform as an entry-level Respiratory Therapist. Competency is acquired through didactic learning and performance assessment in the laboratory and clinical setting. Program graduates must meet the requirements of the jurisdiction in which they wish to practice.
