RTSO Membership FAQs
What is a rolling / anniversary membership?
A rolling, or anniversary, membership is one that begins on the day it is purchased and is valid for 365 days. For example, an anniversary membership purchased on April 20st, 2024 will begin on April 20st, 2024 and end on April 19th, 2025. In the past, the RTSO has offered calendar memberships that began on April 1st and ended on March 31st of the following year.
Why make this change?
Under the old membership cycle, those who joined in the middle of the membership year received less than a full year of benefits. Now, regardless of when you join, you’ll receive benefits for a year. The timing is up to you!
When will I receive a renewal notice?
You will receive renewal notices on a schedule tied to the expiration date of your membership. Notices will begin two to three months in advance and continue until the day of expiration, at which point your membership will be marked in the RTSO system as expired. So, if your membership expires in April, you can expect to start receiving renewal notices in January.
If I renew early, will I lose months of my membership?
No. Under a rolling membership cycle, each annual renewal adds twelve months onto your existing membership term. If you renew early, your additional membership year will begin when the current one ends.
