Over the last 3 decades I have had the privilege to work in the private and public sectors in parallel. I have been employed in the pharmaceutical industry for the last 25 years, the good majority with GlaxoSmithKline in the areas of asthma, severe asthma and COPD. In parallel, I also held a casual staff position with Trillium Health Partners, Credit Valley site until end of December 2019. During those almost 20 years I worked 2-3 shifts per month allowing me to keep my hand in direct patient care.
I have held various roles in my career from sales and marketing to Director, Medical Affairs and Compliance. I have experience in e-health, continuing education and research in asthma, allergy and COPD. I have a keen interest in health outcomes and most recently in a position with government affairs negotiating with provincial payers to gain access to medicines for Canadians living with severe asthma and COPD.
