WHO IS DOING THIS RESEARCH?

Dr. Louise Chartrand is an assistant professor in the Department of Respiratory Therapy at the University of Manitoba and a Respiratory Therapist (RT) by training. She will be leading this project along with her research team, who consists of other RTs and researchers.

WHAT IS THIS RESEARCH ABOUT?

We will be evaluating the impact of Covid-19 on RTs service delivery. Therefore, we would like to recruit respiratory therapist that has been working in primary care setting during and after the pandemic.  To do this we will be conducting interviews with RT who are working in Primary Care setting (broadly speaking, does include community care) in Ontario and Manitoba.

HOW WILL I BE INVOLVED IN THIS RESEARCH?

If you decide to be involved in this research you will participate in a one-on-one interview lasting approximately 1 hour, where you will be asked questions on how covid-19 impacted your service delivery in Primary care setting

WHERE WILL THE INTERVIEW TAKE PLACE?

The individual interview will take place over the phone or via videoconferencing (i.e. Microsoft Teams). The interviewer will be in a private area of their home that will not be accessible by individuals outside of the research team. We recommend you also find a private location for the interview.

WILL I BE COMPENSATED FOR MY TIME?

You will receive a 20$ gift card of your choice after the interview is over.

HOW WILL THIS RESEARCH BE USEFUL?

The findings from this research may help improve the diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic respiratory disorders in the future. It may also help inform recommendations that will optimize healthcare spending and increase access to healthcare.
