Call for Expressions of Interest: RT Scope of Practice Working Group

Are you a respiratory therapist (RT) passionate about shaping the future of your profession? The College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) and the Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario (RTSO) are seeking engaged RTs from diverse practice settings to join the RT Scope of Practice Working Group.

Why Join?

This is a unique opportunity to help define the evolution of respiratory therapy in Ontario. By participating, you will contribute your expertise to meaningful discussions about scope of practice advancements and advocate for the profession’s growth.

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for Ontario-registered RTs in good standing with CRTO and RTSO, representing a variety of practice settings, including, but not limited to::

  • Acute care (Adult, Pediatric/Neonatal)
  • Anesthesia assistants
  • Home and community care
  • Primary care (Family Health Teams, Community Health Centres)
  • Certified Respiratory Educators
  • RT Educators/Professors (Ontario-accredited RT programs)
Commitment & Compensation
  • Most meetings will be virtual, with one potential in-person meeting.
  • A small per diem will be provided for participation.

  • Your motivation for joining the working group
