Travelling by VIA Rail:  Take VIA rail to Belleville station   

Note: There is NO Uber/Lyft service available in Prince Edward County.  (The Cape is a 30-minute drive from the VIA station). 

Attendees who arrive by VIA Rail in Belleville the night before will have to arrange for their own taxi to the hotel of their choice (see Accommodations tab for pre-booked hotels). 

The taxi options in Prince Edward County are:

$20 minimum – within Picton 
$40 minimum – within Bloomfield/Wellington 

If travelling by VIA rail, it would be best for attendees to arrive in Prince Edward County on Friday October 21, 2022.  The following morning, a complimentary shuttle bus could be provided from one of the pre-booked hotels to the conference.  

Note weekend VIA Rail schedule:  

From Toronto: the earliest train would be in Belleville by 0833 + a 30 min taxi ride (missing the beginning of the conference). 

From Ottawa: the earliest train would be in Belleville at 0813 + a 30 min taxi ride (missing registration and beginning of the conference).
