Questionnaire on Controlled Mechanical Ventilation

You are invited to take part in a research study. We are surveying members of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and Canadian Critical Care Society.  We are interested in the ventilator settings used when putting patients on the ventilator. We have included three scenarios, normal lungs, ARDS and COPD.

This information will be used to inform the development of a checklist to evaluate learners' ability to safely initiate mechanical ventilation and a web-based simulation of mechanical ventilation (The VIRTUAL Ventilator).

Participation in the survey is on a voluntary basis. This survey is part of a research study; return of a completed survey will be considered indicative of your consent to participate. Funding for this study has been provided by the Laerdal Foundation and the University of Toronto Instructional Technology Courseware Development Fund.

Completion of the questionnaire should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Please be assured that this survey is confidential. Neither your name, nor the name of your institution is recorded on the questionnaire.
