As a Practicing Member of the RTSO, you are a person holding a valid certificate of registration from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario of the General, Limited or Graduate class and you practice in the province of Ontario. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

As an Associate Member of the RTSO, you are a Respiratory Therapist not practicing in the province of Ontario, or any person with an interest in Respiratory Therapy. You do not hold a valid certificate of registration from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario in the General, Limited or Graduate class, but you may hold an Inactive class certificate. As an Associate Member, you are entitled to the following benefits of membership:

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

As a student member of the RTSO, you have commenced training in Respiratory Therapy in an institution approved by the Canadian Medical Association/Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists Conjoint Committee on Accreditation of Training Programs for Respiratory Therapy. Once you have graduated, you are no longer eligible for Student Member status.As a Student Member, you are entitled to the following benefits:

• First year students - Free Membership
• Voting Status at all Annual and Special Meetings of the RTSO (after first student year)
• Enhanced Communications of the Profession
• College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario Representation
• Government Representation on Matters of Interest to the Profession
