Ontario CCAC drafts contract template for RT Services 2012
Ontario’s CCACs have drafted a contract template for the purchase of Respiratory Therapy Services delivered in CCAC client homes. The document, developed in consultation with stakeholders, has been posted on the CCAC website. Existing and potential service providers are encouraged to review the document and send feedback, by January 31st, 2012 to anne.bell@ccac-ont.ca
Accessing the template:
Go to www.ccac-ont.ca
Go to Service Provider; click on CCAC Procurement. You do not want any of the sub-pages; open up the CCAC Procurement home page.
Context of the template:
The Service Schedule is designed as part of a CCAC Service Provider Contract. The other parts to the contract include: Form of Agreement, General Conditions, Special Conditions, Pricing and Compensation Schedule and Performance Standards. Examples of these documents can be found on the sub-page titled CS Template Documents. All other therapy, nursing and personal support services use the same documents. The Services Schedule is the only document that varies in content, because it is unique to each service.
The Service Schedule occasionally references the Special Conditions. It is in the Special Conditions that variables for each contract are addressed. In this way, the Service Schedule never varies – just the Special Conditions. Not every community and client will need the full scope of the service, but the potential is mapped out in the Service Schedule and then pulled back in the Special Conditions if there is a need to narrow the scope.
